APSC Recruitment 2020 applications are invited for 637 Assistant Engineer (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical), Junior Engineer (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical) Posts Vacancy Under Irrigation Department, Assam, and Public Health Engineering Department, Assam.

Name Of Posts:

  1. Assistant Engineer (Irrigation Department, Assam)
    Total of Posts: 182 nos

Civil: 128 nos (UR-63, OBC/MOBC-22, SC-08, STP-10, STH-12, EWS-13)
Mechanical: 38 nos (UR-13, OBC/MOBC-10, SC-03, STP-05, STH-03, EWS-04)
Electrical: 16 nos (UR-08, OBC/MOBC-06, EWS-02)

Qualification: A candidate must possess a Degree in the respective branch of Engineering from any Institute recognized by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) or a candidate having passed Part A and B of the Associate Membership Examination of the Institute of Engineers (India) and possessing a certificate to that effect from the Institution of Engineers (India). Degrees obtained through distance mode of education will not be acceptable.
Salary: Rs. 30,000/- to 1,10,000/- P.B-4 with Grade Pay of Rs.12,700/- plus other allowances as admissible under Rules of the Govt. of Assam.
Age: The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01-01-2020.

  1. Junior Engineer (Irrigation Department, Assam)
    Total of Posts: 368 nos

Civil: 290 nos (UR-131, OBC/MOBC-70, SC17, STP-27, STH-16, EWS-29)
Mechanical: 66 nos (UR-20, OBC/MOBC-23, SC-04, STP-09, STH-03, EWS-07)
Electrical: 12 nos (UR-02, OBC/MOBC-05, STP-02, STH-02, EWS-01)

Qualification: A candidate must have passed three years diploma course in the concerned Engineering discipline from an Institution recognized by the Government, SCTE (State Council for Technical Education). Diploma obtained through distance mode of education will not be acceptable.
Salary: Rs. 14,000/- to 60,500/- P.B-2 with Grade Pay of Rs.8,700/- plus Other allowances as admissible under Rules of the Govt. of Assam.
Age: The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01-01-2020.

  1. Assistant Engineer (Public Health Engineering Department, Assam)
    Total of Posts: 87 nos

Civil: 62 nos (UR-21, OBC/MOBC-10, SC-10, STP-11, STH-04, EWS-06)
Mechanical: 20 nos (UR-07, OBC/MOBC-04, SC-03, STP-03, STH-01, EWS-01)
Electrical: 02 nos (UR-01, OBC/MOBC-01)
Chemical: 03 nos (UR-01, OBC/MOBC-01, EWS-01)

Qualification:
(i) The candidate must possess a Degree in (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Chemical) of an Indian or Foreign University recognized by the Govt. or a candidate must have passed ( Parts A & B) of AMIE (India) in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Chemical Engineering.
(ii) The Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering must be a Regular Course. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering obtained through Distance Mode of Education, by whatever name called, will not be accepted.
(iii) Apart from English, the candidate should have adequate knowledge of at least 1(one) official language of the State of Assam (i.e Assamese/Bengali/Bodo) except candidates belonging to Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and Dima Hasao Autonomous Council.

Salary: Rs. 30,000/- to 1,10,000/- P.B-4 with Grade Pay of Rs.12,700/- plus Other allowances as admissible under Rules of the Govt. of Assam.
Age: The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01-01-2020.

Application Fee:

  1. For General/EWS Candidate: Rs.250/- (Rupees two hundred and fifty) only.
  2. For SC/ST/OBC/MOBC: Rs.150/- (Rupees one hundred and fifty) only.
  3. For BPL Candidate: Nil

Fees should be deposited through Treasury Challan in the Head of Account “NON TAX REVENUE, OTHER NON TAX REVENUE 0051 PSC, 105 STATE PSC APPLICATION FEE RECEIPT OF APSC” showing the name of post and department. Original copy of Treasury Challan should be submitted along with the application form.

Fees can be deposited online using Government Receipt Accounting System-GRAS (Website: https://assamegras.gov.in). Candidates may pay the requisites fees (as admissible for the category mentioned above). A printed copy of Treasury Challan generated through GRAS should be submitted along with the application form. In the Remarks column, the candidate may write post applied for.

The application form may be obtained by downloading from the APSC’s website www.apsc.nic.in. Application form DR (New form).

The name of the post applied for should be clearly written in “bold letters” in the Envelope containing the application form and it should be addressed to the Deputy Secretary, APSC, Jawaharnagar, Khanapara, Guwahati-781022.
