Eligibility Criteria:
Qualification & Experience:
- Guide Lecturer:
- The candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree with History/Sanskrit/Archaeology/ Anthropology as a subject from a recognized University by the Government.
- Candidates having experience in the Archaeological field work, exploration, excavation and documentation will be given preferences.
- Draftsman:
- The candidate must have passed H.S.L.C. or equivalent examination with a 1 (one) year draftsmanship certificate/Diploma from a Govt. recognized institution.
- Field Surveyor:
- The candidate must have passed H.S.L.C. or equivalent examination with a 1 (one) year surveyorship certificate from a Govt. recognized institution.
- Photographer:
- The candidate must have passed H.S.L.C. or equivalent examination from a Govt. recognize institute with a certificate holder in photography from a recognized institute.
- A candidate having experience in archaeological photography will be given preferences.
- Assistant Chemist:
- The candidate must have passed H.S. (Science) or equivalent examination with Chemistry as one of the subjects from a Govt- recognized institute.
- Horticulture Assistant:
- The candidate must have passed H.S. (Science) with Botany from a Govt. recognized institute.
Age Limit:
- Candidate should not be more than 40 years and less than 18 years of age as on 1st January, 2025 (Candidate must be born on or before 01.01.2007 and on or after 01.01.1985).
Application Fee:
- No application fees need to be submitted.
How to Apply:
The candidates should submit their applications in the Assam Standard Form as prescribed in Part IX of the Assam Gazette only. No other application format will be entertained.
Required Testimonials to be attached with the application and to be self-attested:
Applicants should submit their applications along with photocopies of all testimonials, duly self-attested.
- Qualifications,
- Age proof (HSLC Pass Certificate or HSLC Admit Card).
- Caste certificate (in the caste of the reserved category),
- Employment exchange registration card,
- Declaration in Form “A” under rule 5 (1) of the Assam Public Services (Application of small family norms in Direct Recruitment) Rules, 2019.
- Two copies of a recent passport-size photograph of the candidate, duly self-attested, are to be submitted.
- One self-addressed envelope of 10’X4.5′ affixing a postal stamp of Rs. 5/- must be enclosed with the application.
The name of the post applied for should be clearly written in “bold letters” in the Envelope containing the application form, and it should be addressed to the Director, Directorate of Archaeology, Assam, Ambari, Guwahati-01.
