Eligibility Criteria – Age, Education & Experience

Constable (Veterinary) | Age: 18–27 Years
- 10th Class pass with Science as the main subject from a recognised Board
- One year of experience in the treatment of different species of animals in a recognised Veterinary Hospital
Constable (Driver) | Age: 18–27 Years | Male Only
- 10th Class pass from a recognised Board
- Must possess a valid Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence
Constables (Gardener, Water Carrier, Cobbler, Tailor, Washerman, Barber, Waiter) | Age: 18–23 Years
- Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised Board; and
- (i) Two years of work experience in the respective trade; OR
- (ii) One-year certificate course from a recognised Industrial Training Institute or Vocational Institute with at least one year of experience in the trade; OR
- (iii) Two-year Diploma from a recognised Industrial Training Institute in the trade or a similar trade
- Must qualify for the trade test
Note: Multi-skilled candidates will be given preference.
Constable (Carpenter) | Age: 18–25 Years

Stage 1: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standard Test (PST)

Important Notes on PST:
- Chest measurement applies to male candidates only. Not applicable for females.
- Height and chest are measured to one decimal place. Candidates falling even 0.1 cm below the minimum will be disqualified.
- Weight must be proportionate to height and age as per Annexure-VI. Overweight/underweight candidates will be disqualified at the Detailed Medical Examination (DME) stage, not at PST.
- Candidates seeking height/chest relaxation must submit a community certificate from the concerned District Authority at the time of PST. Non-production of the certificate will result in cancellation of candidature.
- Candidates declared unfit in PST may appeal to the appellate authority on the same day through the Presiding Officer of the PST Board. The appellate authority’s decision is final.
Stage 2: Written Examination (Computer-Based Test – CBT)
The CBT is of 2 hours duration, carrying 100 marks, consisting of 100 multiple-choice objective-type questions covering:
- General Knowledge
- Mathematics
- Reasoning
- General English / General Hindi
Minimum qualifying marks: 50% for UR/EWS/OBC/Ex-Servicemen and 45% for SC/ST. Final merit is prepared solely based on written examination marks.
Stage 3: Documentation & Skill Test
A call list of candidates up to 20 times the number of vacancies (category-wise) will be prepared for documentation and skill test. The skill test carries 50 marks with a minimum qualifying mark of 60% for all categories. The trade test is qualifying in nature, and its marks are not added to the final merit list.
Stage 4: Detailed Medical Examination (DME) & Review Medical Examination (RME)
Candidates up to 3 times the number of vacancies (category-wise) will be shortlisted for DME based on written examination merit. Candidates declared unfit in DME may apply for a Review Medical Examination (RME). The decision of the RME Board is final; no second appeal will be entertained.
