BSF Constable Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 549 Posts
The BSF Constable Recruitment 2026 offers 549 vacancies for Constable GD Sports Quota posts under the Border Security Force (BSF). Interested candidates can apply online from December 27, 2025, to January 15, 2026, at the IOCLwebsite (bsf.gov.in).
Matriculation or its equivalent from recognized board
Only the Matriculation certificate shall be accepted as proof for establishing the age of the candidates
All educational certificates other than Central Board/State Board shall be accompanied by Government notifications declaring the equivalence of such qualifications for service under the Central Government
Sports Qualification:
Players who have participated or won medals in International or National level competitions between 15/01/2024 to 15/01/2026
Individual Event (International): Sportsperson who has participated or won medals in any International Sports tournament/competition/Championship as a member of the Indian contingent conducted/recognized by an International Sports Federation affiliated/recognized by IOC/IOA/MOYAS
Individual Event (National): Players who have won medals in National Games/Senior National Championship/National Open Championship or Youth/Junior National Championship conducted/recognized by National Sports Federation affiliated/recognized by IOA/MOYAS
Team Event (International): Sportsperson who has participated or won medals in an international sports tournament/competition/Championship conducted/recognized by an International sports federation affiliated/recognized by IOC/IOA/MOYAS
Team Event (National): Sportsperson who has won medals in National Games/Senior National Championship/National Open Championship or Youth/Junior National Championship while representing any State/UT/Sports Control Board/recognized federation
A sportsperson should be the main playing member of the team and not on reserve list for team events
Minimum qualifying marks: 12 marks (for all categories UR/SC/ST/OBC)
Desirable
First Preference: Candidates who have represented the country and won medals in order of their priority (Gold/Silver/Bronze/participation) in Senior, Junior or Youth categories in international tournament/competition/championship
Second Preference: Candidates who have represented and won medals or position up to 3rd place in National Games/Senior National Championship/National Open Championship or Youth/Junior National Championship

Fee paid by modes other than prescribed will not be accepted, and the application will be rejected
Selection Process:
Stage 1 โ Scrutiny of Applications: Online application forms and uploaded certificates will be scrutinised. Candidates securing a minimum of 12 qualifying marks will be issued online admit cards
Stage 2 โ Documentation: Verification of all original documents/certificates on age, education, caste, sport achievement, and proof to avail age and height relaxation. Biometric identification will be captured
Stage 3 โ Physical Standard Test (PST): Height, chest measurement (for males), and weight verification as per prescribed standards
Stage 4 โ Merit List Preparation: The Merit list will be drawn based on the marks obtained by candidates as per the sports achievement marking table
Stage 5 โ Detailed Medical Examination (DME): Candidates selected in order of merit will undergo DME as per medical guidelines issued by MHA
Stage 6 โ Review Medical Examination (RME): Appeal against DME can be submitted within 24 hours with a Rs. 25/- fee through an Indian Postal Order along with Medical Fitness Certificate
Tie Breaking Rules: Higher marks, International achievement over National, National Games over Senior National Championship, younger age, alphabetical order in English
Final Selection: Based on merit, PST, and Medical fitness
