Bank of India Officer Recruitment 2026: Bank of India (BOI) has released an official recruitment notification for the appointment of 205 Officers in various specialist streams up to Scale IV under Project No. 2026-27/02. A total of 205 vacancies are available across four officer scales.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Educational qualification is broadly B.E./B.Tech/MCA/M.Sc (Computer Science or Information Technology) for the IT and digital-banking posts, LLB for Law Officer, a recognised Fire/Safety Engineering degree for Fire Officer, and a B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering for Civil Engineer. Post-qualification work experience requirements range from 1 year (Scale I) to a minimum of 8 years with domain-specific experience (Scale IV). Each of the 48 posts also carries its own mandatory/preferred professional certifications (examples: OCP Java, CISA/CISM/CISSP, PMP, TOGAF, AWS/Azure certifications, CKA, ITIL) – these are post-specific and detailed in full in Annexure-I to the Notice.

Salary:

Selected candidates will receive salary according to their respective officer scale along with applicable allowances and perquisites.

Selection Process:

Selection will be conducted through an online examination and/or personal interview, depending on the number of applicants and eligible candidates.

The Bank will initially scrutinize documents relating to professional experience, mandatory certifications, educational qualifications and other eligibility requirements.

Online Examination Pattern

The examination has a composite duration of 100 minutes. The English Language test is qualifying in nature, and its marks will not be included while preparing the merit list.

The minimum qualifying marks are 35% for General/EWS candidates, with eligible SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates applying against reserved vacancies receiving a 5% relaxation. Candidates must qualify in each test.

Negative Marking

There is negative marking in the objective examination. One-fourth (1/4) of the marks assigned to a question will be deducted for each incorrect answer. No penalty applies to unanswered questions.

Interview

The interview carries 100 marks. The minimum qualifying marks are:

• General/EWS: 50%
• SC/ST/OBC/PWD for applicable reserved vacancies: 45%

Candidates may ordinarily be called for interview in a ratio of 1:3 against the number of vacancies, although the Bank may alter this ratio.

If both the online examination and interview are held, their weightage will be:

Online Examination: 60% | Interview: 40%

The Bank also reserves the right to conduct selection only through an interview without an online examination, depending on the circumstances.
