Educational Qualification:

Foreman (Chemical):

Candidates must have a Diploma in Engineering in Chemical, Petrochemical, Chemical Technology or Petrochemical Technology with at least 55% marks. They must also possess 2 years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field.

Foreman (Civil):

Applicants must have a Diploma in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 55% marks and 2 years of post-qualification experience.

Junior Superintendent (Human Resources):

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree along with a Diploma in Personnel Management/Industrial Relations, with at least 50% marks in each qualification. Computer proficiency is also required, along with 2 years of relevant post-qualification experience.

Foreman (Instrumentation):

A Diploma in Instrumentation, Instrumentation & Control, Electronics & Instrumentation, Electrical & Instrumentation, Electronics or Electrical & Electronics with at least 55% marks is required. Candidates also need 2 years of relevant post-qualification experience.

Operator (Chemical):

Candidates must have either:

  • B.Sc. with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with at least 50% marks, or
  • B.Sc. (Honours) in Chemistry with at least 50% marks.

A minimum of 1 year of post-qualification experience is required.

Technician (Electrical):

Candidates must have Matriculation plus ITI Tradesmanship/National Apprenticeship Certificate in Electrical or Wireman Trade, along with 2 years of post-qualification experience.

Technician (Instrumentation):

Candidates should have Matriculation plus ITI/National Apprenticeship Certificate in Instrumentation trade and 2 years of post-qualification experience.

Technician (Mechanical):

Applicants must have Matriculation plus ITI/National Apprenticeship Certificate in Fitter, Diesel Mechanic, Machinist or Turner trade with 2 years post-qualification experience.

Qualification for PwBD Trainee Posts:

For Operator (Chemical) Trainee, candidates need B.Sc. with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or B.Sc. Honours in Chemistry with a minimum of 50% marks. For Technician (Mechanical) Trainee, Matric plus ITI/NAC in Fitter, Diesel Mechanic, Machinist or Turner trade is required. For Accounts Assistant Trainee, candidates must possess B.Com with a minimum of 50% marks and English typing speed of at least 40 w.p.m. on a computer. These posts carry a stipend of ₹21,000 per month during the minimum one-year training period.

Age Relaxation

BCPL provides age relaxation as follows:

  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC (NCL): 3 years
  • PwBD General/EWS: 10 years
  • PwBD OBC (NCL): 13 years
  • PwBD SC/ST: 15 years
  • Eligible Jammu & Kashmir domiciled candidates: 5 years
  • Ex-servicemen: as per the conditions specified in the notification

The maximum upper age after all applicable relaxations cannot exceed 56 years.


Salary:

The pay scales are:

Selected regular candidates will initially be placed on one-year probation. Apart from basic pay, employees may receive IDA, perquisites at 35% of basic pay, North-East allowance at 10% of basic pay where applicable, HRA, medical benefits, PRMS and Defined Contribution Pension Scheme benefits as per company rules.

  • Candidates belonging to General, EWS and OBC (NCL) categories must pay a non-refundable application fee of ₹200.
  • SC, ST and PwBD candidates are exempted from paying the application fee, subject to production of the prescribed certificates.

Selection Process:
