Selection Process
The selection process consists of the following stages:
Stage-I: Stenography Test (90 Marks)
The test includes:
- Voice Test (2 Minutes)
- English Shorthand Dictation at 120 WPM (840 words in 7 minutes)
- Keyboard Test (3 Minutes)
- Computer Transcription (20 Minutes)
Candidates must secure at least 45 marks (50%) to qualify.
Stage-II: Written Examination (100 Marks)
The written examination includes:
- English Composition
- Essay Writing
- English Grammar
- Assamese Language Proficiency
Qualifying Marks:
- English: 32 out of 80
- Assamese: 8 out of 20
The written exam is qualifying in nature.
Stage-III: Interview / Viva-Voce (30 Marks)
