Eligibility Criteria

Work Experience
Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of post-qualification experience as an Officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank listed in the Second Schedule of the Reserve Bank of India.
Experience in the Clerical cadre will not be considered for eligibility. The Bank may also reject an application if the declared job profile does not substantially match the responsibilities of a Scale-I officer.
Local Language Proficiency
Applicants must be proficient in the local language of the state they apply for, including:

Salary:
The Local Bank Officer post is in the JMG/S-I scale. The basic pay scale starts at โน48,480 and progresses according to the applicable scale and increments up to โน85,920. Candidates with one year or more of officer experience in a Scheduled Commercial Bank will receive one advance increment, as specified in the notification.
Selected candidates will also receive applicable allowances and benefits according to Bank of Barodaโs policies and banking-sector settlements.
Posting Location
Selected Local Bank Officers will be posted within the state for which they applied for the first 12 years of service, or until promotion to SMGS-IV grade, whichever is earlier.
After that period, the Bank may post the employee at any branch or office or any other location in India according to its requirements.
Probation Period
The selected candidates will be placed on 12 months of probation from the date of joining the Bank.
Service Bond
Selected candidates are required to execute a service bond. As stated in the notification, the current bond requires the candidate to serve the Bank for a minimum of 3 years after joining.
If the candidate leaves before completing three years of active service, the current provision requires payment of an amount equivalent to three monthsโ gross salary, subject to a maximum of โน2 lakh. The Bank notes that these terms may be revised in accordance with its prevailing policies.

Candidates shortlisted after the online examination may have to qualify in the Local Language Proficiency Test (LPT).
