Eligibility Criteria:

Hindi Reporter

Candidates applying for the Hindi Reporter post must fulfil the following eligibility requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University.
• Diploma in Hindi Stenography with a qualifying speed of 80 words per minute.
• Knowledge of DTP typewriting in Hindi from a recognized institution.
• Six-month Diploma/Certificate in Computer Application.
• Sound knowledge of Assamese and English languages.
• Candidates having knowledge or experience in Parliamentary functioning will be given preference.

Hindi Translator

Candidates applying for Hindi Translator must possess:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification in any discipline from a recognized University with Hindi as one of the subjects in the course.
• Sound knowledge of Assamese and English literature.
• Six-month Diploma/Certificate in Computer Application.
• Candidates having knowledge or experience in Parliamentary functioning or reporting in Hindi newspapers will be given preference.

Bengali Translator

Candidates applying for Bengali Translator must possess:

• Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University with Bengali as one of the subjects in the course.
• Sound knowledge of Assamese, English and Bengali literature.
• Six-month Diploma/Certificate in Computer Application.
• Candidates having knowledge or experience in Parliamentary functioning or reporting in Bengali newspapers will be given preference.

Karbi Translator

Candidates applying for Karbi Translator must possess:

• Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University.
• Sound knowledge of Assamese, English and Karbi language/literature.
• Six-month Diploma/Certificate in Computer Application.
• Candidates having knowledge or experience in Parliamentary functioning or reporting in Karbi newspapers will be given preference.

Age Limit:

The age of candidates should be calculated as on 1 January 2026.

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age: 40 years

Age Relaxation

Upper age relaxation will be available as follows:

The age of candidates will be calculated on the basis of the School/Matriculation/HSLC Admit Card or Certificate issued by a recognized Board/Council/School or another applicable Government document.

Nature of Appointment:

• Candidates should note that these appointments are purely temporary and contractual.
• The initial appointment will be for a period of six months. The appointment may subsequently be extended depending on the requirement of the work.
• The recruitment authority may terminate the contractual appointment at any time as per the terms mentioned in the official advertisement.
