Assam EMRS Recruitment 2026: Assam State Level EMRS Society under the Directorate of Tribal Affairs (Plain), Assam has released official notifications for recruitment of TGT and PGT Guest Teachers for different Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) in Assam.

The recruitment is purely temporary for the Academic Year 2026-27 or till regular teachers are appointed. Eligible permanent residents of Assam can apply for Assam EMRS Recruitment 2026 for various teaching subjects in EMRS schools located in Baksa, Kamrup, Karbi Anglong and Dima Hasao districts.

Educational Qualification:

For TGT Guest Teachers:

• Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject and aggregate.
• B.Ed Degree from recognized university/institute approved by NCTE.
• Must have qualified for CTET/STET.
• Proficiency in teaching in the English medium.

For PGT Guest Teachers:

• Master’s Degree with a minimum 50% marks in the relevant subject.
• For the Commerce subject, candidates must study Accountancy and Business Studies at the graduation level.
• B.Ed Degree approved by NCTE.
• Proficiency in English medium teaching.

Age Limit:

Age will be calculated as on 01 April 2026.

The selection process for Assam EMRS Recruitment 2026 includes:

Assessment Criteria:

Conditions of Engagement:

• The engagement is purely temporary for one academic year.
• Guest teachers will not claim any regular appointment in EMRS.
• Selected teachers must reside on campus during the engagement period.
• Rent-free accommodation may be provided, subject to availability.
• Guest teachers may be terminated anytime with 7 days’ prior notice.
• Working hours and responsibilities will be the same as those of regular teachers.

How to Apply:

1. Candidates need to apply separately for each district.
2. Submit the application at the respective District Commissioner’s Office of the concerned EMRS.
3. Attach all required educational and experience certificates.
4. Carry original documents during the interview process.
5. Retired teachers must furnish a Medical cum Fitness Certificate.
6. Applications must be submitted before the last date.
