ASSAC Recruitment 2026: The Assam State Space Application Centre (ASSAC), Guwahati, has released an official advertisement for the recruitment of Accounts Assistant and Junior Field Assistant posts on a purely contractual basis. A total of 3 vacancies are available, and eligible candidates can appear for the Walk-in Interview scheduled for September and October 2026.

The engagement will initially be for a period of 6 months at the Assam State Space Application Centre, Bigyan Bhawan (3rd Floor), G.S. Road, Guwahati – 781005. Vacancy Details:

ASSAC has announced three vacancies under this recruitment drive.

Educational Qualification:

Accounts Assistant:

Candidates should possess a Graduate degree in Commerce with a Major in Accountancy from a UGC/AICTE-recognised or approved University/Institution, or an equivalent qualification.

Desirable qualifications and knowledge include:

• PGDCA from a recognised University/Institution
• Working knowledge of Tally ERP
• GST
• TDS
• TCS
• Income Tax Return filing
• EPF
• CPF

Candidates should also have a minimum of one year of relevant experience in handling accounts-related activities, preferably in a Government Department, Autonomous Body, PSU, Organisation or Institution.

Junior Field Assistant – Surveying:

Candidates should have passed HSSLC (10+2) along with an ITI Certificate in Surveying (Surveyor Trade) or an equivalent qualification.

Desirable knowledge includes:

• Mapping using GPS/GNSS tools
• Taking field measurements
• Reading maps
• Walking in wetlands
• Capturing geotags

Junior Field Assistant – COPA:

Candidates should have passed HSSLC (10+2) with an ITI Certificate in COPA (Computer Operator and Programming Assistant) or an equivalent qualification.

Desirable skills include:

• Data entry
• Operating web portals
• Managing spreadsheets
• Using GIS software

Age Limit:

Candidates should be:

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 38 years

The age will be calculated as of 1 January 2026.

Salary:

Selected candidates will receive the following monthly remuneration:

The same ₹18,000 remuneration applies to both Junior Field Assistant vacancies.

Eligibility Conditions:

Candidates must satisfy the following major conditions:

• The applicant must be an Indian citizen.
• The applicant must be a permanent resident of Assam.
• Candidates must possess the prescribed educational qualification, experience and other eligibility criteria.
• Original certificates and documents must be produced during the interview for verification.
• No TA/DA will be provided for attending the Walk-in Interview.
