Course Details
The GNM course will be a full-time regular course with a duration of 3 years. Students will be admitted to Assam Oil School of Nursing, which is affiliated with Srimanta Sankardeva University of Health Sciences, Guwahati. The course is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.
Eligibility Criteria:
Only female candidates are eligible to apply for this course.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must satisfy any one of the following conditions:

SC/ST candidates will get 5% relaxation in qualifying marks as per INC norms. Candidates must also be medically fit, and married candidates are eligible.

Who Cannot Apply?
Candidates having higher professional qualifications such as BE, B.Tech, MBA, CA, CS, CMA, LLB, MCA, Ph.D. or equivalent professional qualifications are not eligible for this admission process.
Selection Process
Selection for IOCL GNM Admission 2026 will be based on:
- Online application with GNMEE-2026 Roll Number
- Marks obtained in GNMEE-2026
- Weightage marks based on the income certificate
- Document verification
- Medical examination
Only 30 eligible candidates will be called for document verification, followed by a medical examination.
Tie-breaking Rule
If two or more candidates secure the same total marks, merit will be decided in the following order:

After passing the course, candidates will be engaged as working interns for 1 year at AOD Hospital or other IOCL hospitals. The internship stipend will be Rs. 15,250/- per month. If placed at other IOCL hospitals outside the AOD Hospital, an additional Rs. 1,000/- per month will be paid.

Income Certificate Requirement
Candidates must submit an income certificate for FY 2025–26, issued by a competent Revenue Authority not below the rank of Circle Revenue Inspector or another authorised authority. The certificate must be issued on or after 01 April 2026. Any affidavit for income proof will not be accepted.
