Eligibility Criteria:

Qualification & Experience:

  • Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS):
    • Candidates must possess the educational qualification of class-VIII standard, and those who have passed HSSLC (Higher Secondary) or above shall not be eligible to apply for the said post.
  • Judicial Assistant:
    • Must be a graduate of a recognised university.
    • Must have a working knowledge of computers.
  • Computer Assistant:
    • Must be a graduate of a recognised university.
    • Must have a diploma/certificate in Computer Operation/Application of at least 6 months duration. The candidate must have received training in the execution of works such as data entry and DTP works, basic hardware maintenance, including installation of various devices like printers, scanners, etc., setting up and configuring LAN, using utilities, application software, Web designing and Web-based application software as well as Web-based applications of computers.
  • Chauffeur (Driver):
    • Minimum educational qualification of Class X (HSLC) standard from a recognized Board.
    • A valid LMV driving license issued by a competent authority.

SELECTION PROCESS:

Multi Tasking Staff (MTS):

  • Stage I: Written Examination: (70 Marks)
    • It will consist of a written examination (OMR based objective Questions with Multiple Choices) of 112 hours duration on OMR sheet and the same will contain questions on General Knowledge/Current Affairs, General English, General Mathematics of Class VIII standard and Assamese language proficiency (20 marks).
    • The questions of Assamese language segment will be of qualifying nature. In order to qualify the written examination, a candidate must secure at least 40% marks i.e. 8 out of 20. The marks obtained in the Assamese language segment will not be considered while preparing the merit list.
    • The High Court reserves the right to fix the cut off marks in the written examination.
  • Stage II: Viva-Voce: (20 Marks)
    • Candidates in the ratio of 1:5 from the rank-wise mark-sheet of the written test (5 times of the vacancies) will be called to appear in the Viva-Voce/Interview (i.e. Stage-2).
    • On the basis of the grand total marks obtained by the candidates in the Written Test and viva-voce the final selection will be made.
    • A Candidate must secure at least 60% marks in the Interview/Viva-voce, i.e. 12 out of 20 marks, in order to qualify the Interview/ Viva-voce.

Judicial Assistant:

  • Stage I: Written examination: 120 marks
    • The written examination (objective type multiple-choice) of 2 hours duration will be conducted on OMR sheets and will test the candidatesโ€™ proficiency in English language, general knowledge, general aptitude, reasoning and Assamese language (20 marks).
    • The Assamese language proficiency segment will be of qualifying nature. Candidates securing at least 40% marks i.e. 8 out of 20 marks in the Assamese language proficiency segment shall be treated as qualified to appear in the next stage. The marks obtained in the Assamese language segment shall not be taken into account while preparing the merit list.
    • There shall be negative marking in the written examination. For every incorrect answer, 0.25 mark (one-fourth of the marks allotted to the question) will be deducted.
  • Stage II: Interview/Viva-Voce: 20 marks
    • Candidates equal to 3 times the number of vacancies (1:3) in order of merit in the written examination will be called to appear in the Interview/Viva-Voce and verification of documents. A candidate must secure atleast 60% i.e 12 out of 20 marks in the Interview/Viva-Voce in order to be considered qualified.

Computer Assistant:

  • Stage I: Written examination: 120 marks
    • Written examination (Objective type multiple choices) will be of 2 hours duration on OMR sheet testing the technical knowledge (50 marks), English proficiency (20 marks), general knowledge (20 marks) general aptitude and reasoning (10 marks) and Assamese language proficiency (20 marks).
    • The Assamese language segment will be of qualifying nature. Candidates securing at least 40% marks i.e. 8 out of 20 marks in the Assamese language segment shall be treated as qualified to appear in the Skill test (Stage-II). The marks obtained in the Assamese language segment will be qualifying in nature only and shall not be taken into account while preparing the merit list.
    • There shall be negative marking in the written examination. For every incorrect answer, 0.25 mark (one-fourth of the marks allotted to the question) will be deducted.
  • Stage II: Skill test: 30 marks
    • Candidates equal to 5 times the number of vacancies (1:5) in order of merit in the written examination will be called to appear in the skill test.
    • A candidate must secure atleast 60% marks i.e 18 out of 30 marks in the skill test in order to qualify the skill test.
  • Stage III: Interview/Viva-Voce: 20 marks
    • Candidates equal to 3 times the number of vacancies (1:3) in order of merit in the written examination and skill test combined will be called to appear in the Interview/Viva-Voce and verification of documents. A candidate must secure atleast 60% i.e 12 out of 20 marks in the Interview/Viva-Voce in order to be considered qualified.

Chauffeur (Driver):

  • Stage I: Screening test: 50 marks
    • Written examination (Objective Type Multiple Choices) on OMR sheet of 1 hour duration and the same will contain questions on Road Sign recognition (20 marks), General Knowledge (20 marks) and Assamese language proficiency (10 marks).
    • To be considered eligible to appear in the next stage, a candidate must secure at least 5 out of 10 marks in the Assamese language proficiency segment. The marks obtained in the Assamese language proficiency segment shall be qualifying in nature and will not be taken into account while preparing the merit list.
  • Stage II: Driving test: 40 marks
    • Candidates equal to 5 times the number of vacancies (1:5) in order of merit in the screening test will be called to appear in the Driving test.
    • The Driving test will be on segments viz. starting, driving, parking and after driving (10 marks for each segment).
    • A candidate must secure at least 50% marks i.e 20 out of 40 marks in the Driving test in order to be considered qualified in the Driving test.
  • Stage III: Interview/Viva Voce: 20 marks
    • Candidates equal to 3 times the number of vacancies (1:3) in order of merit in the Driving test will be called to appear in the Interview/Viva-Voce.
    • A candidate must secure at least 60% marks in the Interview/Viva-Voce i.e 12 out of 20 marks, in order to qualify the Interview/Viva- Voce.
