The DSWO Jorhat Recruitment 2025 offers 09 vacancies for Assistant, MTS & Other posts under the District Social Welfare Officer, Jorhat, under the Women & Child Development Department, Jorhat. Interested candidates can apply offline from December 01, 2025, to December 10, 2025, at the DSWOwebsite (jorhat.assam.gov.in).
Any woman having a Master’s in Law/ Social Work/ Sociology/ Social Science/ Psychology with at least 5 years of experience working on women-related relevant domains in an administrative set-up with a Government or Non-Government project/programme, and preferably with at least 1-year experience of counselling either within or outside the same set-up.
She should preferably be a resident of the local community so that local human resource and expertise is utilised for the effective functioning of the centre.
Office Assistant:
The services could be outsourced to any person who is a graduate with a minimum of 3 years of experience in handling office documentation-related jobs with proficiency in working on computers, at the state or district level, with government or non-governmental organizations.
Multi-purpose Staff:
The multi-purpose activity could be outsourced to any person who is literate with knowledge /experience of working in the relevant domain.
Cook:
The activity could be outsourced to any person who is literate with knowledge/experience of working in the relevant domain. High School pass or equivalent will be preferred.
Security Guard/ Night Guard:
The services could be outsourced to any person having at least 2 years of experience working as security personnel in a government or reputed organization at the district/ state level.
He/she should preferably be retired military/para-military personnel.
Psycho-Social counsellor:
The service could be outsourced to any woman having a professional degree/diploma in psychology/ psychiatry/ neurosciences with a background in the health sector, and preferably with at least 3 years of working within a government or non-government health project/ programme at the district level.
Multi-purpose Staff/ Cook:
The multi-purpose activity could be outsourced to any person who is literate with knowledge/ experience of working in the relevant domain. High School pass or equivalent will be preferred.
Security Guard:
The multi-purpose activity could be outsourced to any person who is literate with knowledge/ experience of working in the relevant domain.
Age Limit:
The Application must be a minimum of 21 years and a maximum of 40 years of age as of 01.01.2025, with a relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit for candidates under SC, ST (H), ST(P). 3 years for OBC/MOBC and 10 years for Persons with Disability (PwD) Category.
