Polytechnic Admission Test 2021, Online applications are invited from the candidates who are Permanent Resident of Assam for registration to appear in the Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT) 2021 for admission into Diploma Courses in the following State Government Polytechnic of Assam and Polytechnics outside Assam (against seat allotted bt the Govt. of India/Assam Energy Institute, Sibsagar) for the session 2021-2022.

Test centres: Selected centres at Mangaldoi, Tezpur and in Government Polytechnics/ Institutions of Assam.
Date of test: 25th July 2021 (Sunday)
Time of test: 10 AM to 12 Noon (2 Hours)
Qualification Polytechnic Admission Test 2021:
Candidate must pass the HSLC or its equivalent examination with Mathematics and Science as compulsory subject with-
- 40% marks (average) in Mathematics and Science for General Candidates.
- 35% marks (average) in Mathematics and Science for Schedule Caste Candidates.
- 33% marks (average) in Mathematics and Science for Scheduled Tribes Candidates.
- General: 20 years 6 months as of 31.12.2021.
- SC/ST: 23 years 6 months as of 31.12.2021.
- For institutions outside Assam: 20 years 6 months as of 31.12.2021 (irrespective of category).
Application Fees Polytechnic Admission Test 2021:
An application fee of Rs.500/- [plus bank charges as applicable) is to be paid using “State Bank Collect” which facilitates payment through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking. Payment may also be made in cash at any branch of State Bank of India after generating the Cash Deposit Form from “State Bank Collect’ in the final step of the Online Application. Further instructions will be available during the online application process.

HOW TO APPLY Polytechnic Admission Test 2021:
Applicants are required to apply only through Online mode, no other means/mode of submission of the application form will be accepted.
Step 1 – Click on “Click here to Apply”.
After clicking, the Application Form will appear
Step 2 – Fill up the Application form properly. It is mandatory to fill all the fields.
Step 3 – Upload your photograph & scanned signature and save the Application form by clicking the “Submit” button.
Step 4 – Once the Application form is saved, a unique application number will be generated for you which will be active throughout your admission process. Read the instructions carefully and click on “Next” to continue, the next step of the application process shall take you to the Payment Portal of State Bank Collect. Select Payment Category “PAT – 2021” and in the next step you will be asked to enter your:
- Application number
- Name of Applicant
- Date of Birth
- Centre of Examination
- Contact number
- Whether Differently abled
- Belongs to Tea Garden/Ex.TGL Community
- Belongs to Moran Community
- Belongs to Tai Ahom Community
- Belongs to Koch Rajbhongsi Community
- Belongs to Chutia Community
Step 5 – Payment Process : There are two modes of payment: ONLINE and OFFLINE
(i) Online Payments can be made by Net Banking/ Debit Card / Credit Cards.
(ii) Offline payments can be made at any branch of State Bank of India by printing the generated Bank Challan and depositing the fee amount at any nearby SBI Branch..
Retain Printouts of the receipt generated by State Bank Collect, for future reference. The “State Bank Collect” step is the last step of the application and is required to be completed for successful application process.
Note: (i) Candidates who have successfully completed the above steps can check their status at any time by using the Applicant Login area.
(ii) Payments made/received shall be reflected and updated in the applicant login after receiving payment confirmation from Bank usually within 5-7 days.
No Application (hard-copy) need to be physically submitted at the Directorate of Technical Education, Assam.
