Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates must not be less than 25 years as on 1st January 2026.
- Age will be calculated based on the Birth Certificate issued by a competent authority or the HSLC Admit Card/Certificate issued by a recognized Board/Council.
- No other documents will be accepted as age proof.
Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must be minimum 10th (HSLC) from a Board/Institution recognized by the State or Central Government.
Other Eligibility Conditions
- Must be a citizen of India and a permanent resident of the area for which appointment is sought.
- Must be physically fit and of sound mind.
- Must not have been declared insolvent or a defaulter in payment of Government dues (Bakijai Clearance Certificate required).
- Must not be a government employee.
- Must not be a member of any political party.
- Must have land or immovable property in his/her name in the area where appointment as Gaon Pradhan is sought.
- Must not have more than 2 (two) living children from a single or multiple partners, as per Government of Assam Notification dated 19th July 2019 (No. RLR.187/2007/Pt/24).
- Must furnish a self-affidavit confirming compliance with the small family norm.
Selection Process:
- Selection will be made through a Viva Voce (Interview).
- The eligible candidate scoring the highest marks in the interview will be selected as Gaon Pradhan for the concerned village.
- Candidates must carry all original testimonials along with photocopies at the time of the interview.
- No second chance will be given for the interview โ candidates who miss their scheduled date will not be rescheduled.
- All appointments will be made after Police Verification as per procedure.

- Application Form: Candidates must apply only in the prescribed form โ โPart IX of the Assam Gazette.โ Applications in any other format will not be entertained.
- Submission: Duly filled applications, along with supporting documents, must be submitted to the RKG Branch, Office of the Co-District Commissioner, Bokakhat.
