Eligibility Criteria:

Academic Qualification:

Candidates must have passed the HSLC or equivalent examination with Mathematics and Science as compulsory subjects in a single sitting (no grace marks in Science and Mathematics). They must pass individually in both theory and practical/ Internal Assessment:

Age Limit:

Minimum age: 16 years as on 31 December 2026 (i.e., born on or before 31 December 2010). There is no upper age limit.

Residential Eligibility

Candidates must be Indian Citizens and Permanent Residents of Assam. A valid Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) is mandatory at the time of counselling.

Sports Quota Eligibility

Candidates must be medal winners (Gold / Silver / Bronze) at State Games/Championships organised by the Assam Olympic Association, State Sports Association, or Directorate of Sports & Youth Welfare, Assam โ€” within the last 3 years.

NCC Quota Eligibility

Selection is based on NCC Certificate grades. Priority order: โ€˜Cโ€™ Certificate Grade A (Rank I) down to โ€˜Aโ€™ Certificate Grade C (Rank IX).

The online counselling process for Assam Polytechnic Admission 2026-27 broadly follows these steps:

  1. Seat allotment based on eligibility, rank, category, choices, and seat availability.
  2. Accept your seat through the portal and download the allotment letter.
